One of my personal favorites of my dear ol' Dad in his glory years in the Grand Canyon. I sure am grateful to my Dad for starting the whole river legacy. It has been a big part of my life and I have loved working with my Dad, my siblings and my husband on the river. Thanks Dad.
Oh the Salmon River, how I miss you. It is almost the beginning of another river season and I've been thinking about the river. I made a river memory book for Dad for Christmas and in the process I found a lot of great pictures. I thought I would post a few here as I reminisced about the river.
Jake and I are going to try to get up to Idaho to run a Main Salmon trip this summer. I've missed the river the past two years and it would be great to spend a week on the Salmon. I don't think I'm quite ready to take Sophie on the river but someday I know she would love it.

I hope you get to go on the river this summer too! I can't believe it's been so long for you, you must be dying! I love you and your family to pieces and I know that a big part of who you all are comes from your ties to and time on the river, so I for one am glad your Dad started that business!
A river memory book is such a good idea! I'm sure it turned out amazing and that your dad loved it. I remember having one of the best weeks of my life with you on that river of yours. Seriously, it was such a great adventure and I'm so glad you let me tag along that year! S will love it one day just as much as you all do. See you soon!
P.S. Do you guys want to go to Portland and the coast together? Check out my reply to your comment on my blog and the new post...
I know my measly 8 runs don't compare to your life, but I miss the river too! Kinda crazy to think Camp Wild 2005 was my first time ever. (Last weekend I did just a small bit of the Payette with my nieces for a couple of hours. It was a blast, but the Salmon will always have a special place in my heart!)
