The 2009 Rundown

2009 was good to us and we are excited for what 2010 will bring. Here are some of our highlights of the past year.

*Sophie turned 2 and is a fun,smart,crazy,wonderful, happy girl and we love her

*We found out that girl #2 will be joining us in early June 2010!

*Jake was accepted into the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham!

*Jake worked all year for Neways International and is now excited to be back in school

*We mostly enjoyed everything about being homeowners and Jake made the little ol' place look great with everything from bathroom renovations to a new shed.

*We had our first real garden which did quite well seeing as we didn't really know what we were doing.

*Jenn started an Etsy business with Ali making handmade bags and stuff

*Jenn also broadened her horizons with Irish Dance lessons

*We had some fun adventures on the river, camping, road trips and just playing in Utah.

2010 now finds us way down south in Alabama. This will most definitely be a year of new experiences and adventures.

The Move

We're moving across America! Right now I'm writing from a hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas. I've noticed a few things:

1. There are good people everywhere.

2. There are a lot of people who need serious dental work - A great hotel hostess needed front teeth when we stopped in Cortez, CO. She was incredibly friendly and gave us muffins. There were lots of toothless people at our rest stop in the Ozarks.

3. Eating fast food for a long time makes you feel like a piece of garbage.

4. I really like podcasts. This American Life has a lot of interesting insights into everyday life.

5. GPS units can be nice, but can be really confusing at the same time.
